FIT FOR WORK POLICY STATEMENT

Cudgegong Security is committed to ensuring systems and procedures are in place to promote and maintain an employee’s ability to perform tasks safely and efficiently. Cudgegong Security provides a strong focus on physical, mental and emotional health so that our employees can ensure they remain fit for work.

 

OUR OBJECTIVES

 

Prevent inappropriate behavior and harm.

 

Smoking, taking illicit drugs and intoxication will not be permitted by any employee, random drug and alcohol testing may be performed at any time to detect if an employee has breached the working conditions.

 

Promote physical, mental and emotional health so that people can safely undertake and sustain work.

 

Prevent and minimise the adverse effects of fatigue, work conditions and excessive hours and work.

 

Encourage behavior and attitudes that are conducive to a healthy and safe workplace.

 

Improving and maintaining our ability to meet the duty of care obligations.

 

Monitoring compliance and enforcement of this policy.

 

Providing effective, fair and constructive procedures for dealing with employees that are unfit for work.

 

OUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The development and implementation of this fit for work policy is the responsibility of Management.  They are responsible to ensure, within their control, the safety and health of employees and the provision of training and resources to ensure employees adhere to the fit for work policy and its procedures. All Cudgegong Security employees are required to take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of any other person that may be affected by their work activities. They are also required to comply with all instructions and directions established to provide a safe and healthy working environment and provide information on any pre-existing injuries before commencement of work.
